Improve project Almost one in five Dutch people will have to deal with a depression during his or her life disorder. Depressive disorders have a major impact on the lives of patients, their families and on the care. There are various treatments for depression, but it works in about 30% of the patients patients do not receive any treatment, which leads to a long search for the most suitable treatment. Kaying Kan focuses in her dissertation on improving care for patients with depression by using routinely collected mental health care data, ie registration data about treatments collected in daily treatment practice. For the whole story about the above plate and the individual research questions, visit the Improve . website

muziek therapie NHL Stenden HappyCare My mother is 93 and like most people her age, she is very vulnerable. Fortunately, her head is still doing well, but she has fallen regularly over the last few months. First because she was trying to pick something up, later because she was tired at the end of the day and recently because she could no longer stand on her legs. My mother has always been active and very independent. The rapid downward spiral was a difficult process for her and for us as children. After each fall, my mother had to give up more independence and our worries increased. She did not want to go to a nursing home and did everything she could to stay at home. And that also worked... Because there were 5 lovely women from Happy Zorg who put their heart and soul into ensuring that my mother could stay at home until it was really no longer possible. Natalie, the 'leader', had already taken care of my mother 5 years ago after her hip dislocated. Nathalie has always kept in touch with my mother. She didn't have to do that, but she did. And how valuable that was became apparent in recent months. It was wonderful how they helped my mother. Nothing was ever too much and everything was done with love. Partly thanks to the Happy ladies, my mother managed to stay at home. Unfortunately, my mother went to a nursing home a week and a half ago. It really didn't work anymore... Last week, as a thank you for all the care given to my mother, I received Natalie Drobe and her team gave a 'business drawing' workshop. I first taught them the basics of how to draw your story or message simply and functionally. They then made a drawing together about their team: What makes their team so special? They drew this drawing on paper, I made it digitally for them in one poster. A beautiful and valuable result. Happy Natalie, Happy Roos, Happy Indy, Happy Jet and Happy Eva…. You have been invaluable to my mother and us over the past period. I hope that politicians will look less at how you can organize healthcare as a business (where competition has proven to be cutthroat and lucrative companies make a lot of money) and focus (and invest) more on the people who do the real work!

Vapen Relocare I made these 6 drawings for the Relocare project. These plates were used to explain research results. Relocare: Moving within nursing home care RElocation in Long-term CARE Residents of nursing homes regularly move to another location. For various reasons and not always of your own free will. On behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, the collaborating Academic Networks for Elderly Care (SANO) started a study in 2020 into the consequences of this and opportunities for improvement. The AWO-L is the initiator of this national research. In the Relocare research, the academic workshops for elderly care in the Netherlands work together and three PhD students were appointed: one in Maastricht, one in Leiden and one in Groningen. The AWO-L is leading the investigation. The central research question is: how can transitions within nursing home care be improved for the elderly and their loved ones. This central research question has now been divided into three sub-questions: What are the characteristics and consequences of relocations within nursing home care for elderly people with intensive care needs and their loved ones? How can relocations within nursing home care be improved, so that the elderly and their loved ones experience the best possible quality of life and quality of care? What are the consequences and experiences of innovative residential care concepts as an alternative to the traditional nursing home for the elderly and their loved ones in the transition process to new forms of living?
- Animatie | VisualPower050
animation Do you want to explain a complex process simply and clearly? An animation captivates and holds the attention. As a result, the information is better processed and remembered. And more importantly, it stimulates our emotional brain. Simple and easy I keep the animations as simple as possible. Precisely because of the simplicity, the message sticks better and the viewer is not distracted by side issues. When do you use animation - to convey information - creating brand awareness and perception My method We start with a design session. I do this (preferably physically) together with you or in a working group, by looking for the subject, the goal, the target group and the questions that need to be answered. The content of the animation should become crystal clear during this conversation. What emotion do you want to convey? What are the key messages? We'll end this session with a script, broken up into small chunks that form the scenes. I make the storyboard based on the script and the scenes. The storyboard is a collection of the text, the drawings and the movement and/or sound effects. The text is finalized at this stage. Based on the storyboard, the final drawings are created. Only small changes are possible after this step. If desired, a voice-over will be recorded and all will be animated. During the whole process you can give feedback so you get a perfect animation at the end. The entire animation can also be made into a visual. After delivery adjustments are based on hourly rate. Guidelines Maximum number of scenes per minute: 10 - 12 Maximum words per minute: 100 - 130 Ideal duration Research shows that after 1.5 minutes no less than 70% of your viewers will drop out. So keep it short and concise!
