visual (praatplaat) A visual (or in dutch 'praatplaat') is not a work of art, but a communication tool. A visual helps to present difficult information in a simple and appealing way. In a visual the core is captured visually, so that dusty annual plan, strategic policy document, work process or change plan does not disappear in a drawer, but really comes to life. It helps you as a storyteller to convey your story concisely and it helps the recipient to quickly understand what it is all about. A visual can also help to identify discussion points and arrive at a shared view. You can use visuals in many situations: for a pitch, presentation of policy, annual plan, state of affairs, strategy or explanation of a complicated subject. In addition, a talk poster can be a great marketing tool to reach potential customers. Sometimes the visual is very simple and sometimes there are many small drawings in one big, or even multiple drawings. Depending on what you need, there are more extensive and less extensive options conceivable. I would be happy to prepare a quote for you based on your wishes. Please contact me for a no-obligation consultation. and look at 'portfolio' be inspired! My working method We start with a design session. I do this by (preferably physically) together with you or in a workgroup, searching for the subject, the goal, the target group and the questions that need to be answered. We end this session with a design sketch. I make a concept drawing of that After the first version there are plenty of opportunities to give feedback. I think it is important that the drawing meets your wishes. You will receive the drawing in vectors. This way the image is always sharp. If desired, you will receive all drawings separately so that you can use them individually. Interactive The visual comes to life even more if you can read the story right along with it. This allows the PDF to be distributed without the need for explanation. In this way, the visual becomes more to live and gains even more depth. An interactive talk board can be created in different ways: Interactive PDF: Interactive elements are added to the PDF, such as texts that appear when you click on something, links to websites or documents . Interactive plate on your website or on your own website. More information here I would be happy to prepare a quote for you based on a preliminary discussion. Please contact us What clients say... Ellen created a talking picture about my dissertation. During our first telephone contact, she clearly explained her working method. The design session could take place at short notice and helped me as a researcher to formulate my core message. After this, there was still enough room to give feedback and to arrive at the desired end result. I experienced the collaboration with Ellen as pleasant and am very happy with the talking picture as part of my dissertation! Sjoukje Bouma, Researcher Applied Health Research UMCG I found the collaboration with visualPOWER050 very pleasant. It was a challenging task to map a successful rehabilitation process from the perspective of people with pain. Ellen was a good listener and translated my message into a drawing in the right way. I am very pleased with the result! This will soon be published in an international magazine. Anneke Beetsma PhD dept. of Rehabilitation Medicine What I particularly like about working with Ellen is that she asks good questions about the essence of the drawing. Is it so readable for the target group? Does it summarize the essence? What do you want to achieve with it? In this way, you go through the process through the eyes of the recipient and that makes the end result stronger. And at the same time, it provides new insights into your own objectives and activities. Ellen's work is so much more than a drawing. Jurriën de la Vieter Acting Program Manager SchoolpleinNoord Ellen, you have beautifully visualized our education; the HAN's Master in Circular Economy in one striking visual! The visual will help us with our information meetings about the master. Interested parties and visitors to our open evenings and the website will receive information about the versatile program of our education in an appealing way. But that's not all. You are also involved in our education as a guest trainer and inspire students to communicate visually about sustainability and the circular economy. It is impressive how quickly and concisely you managed to capture the master in images while our program was unknown to you. That and the pleasant, personal way in which you work with us, mean that we hope to continue to use your talent and expertise for a long time to come. Many thanks! On behalf of the team of the HAN Master in Circular Economy, Ellen Burger The talking picture helped us to get a clearer picture in the working sessions of our action research of the core of our collected results, and therefore the message we want to convey. The sharpening via the drawing also helped us to structure our thoughts in this, and that is nice for complex issues such as guiding female status holders to work. I also found the coordination with Ellen very pleasant, both in presence during the meetings and the elaboration of the drawing afterwards. The talking picture is already being used! Suzanne van Hees, Researcher at the Department of Work and Health, Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences Ellen is fast, creative and resourceful. She knows better than anyone how to interpret a sea of words with a pithy, cheerful drawing, in which the message is immediately clear and the details bring a smile to everyone's face. Marieke Vegt Director Culturally I have worked so hard on this policy paper ...but how do I make sure my colleagues understand ...and don't waste hours on it ... and remember the core of my story? look, these are the most important points for this year I feel more involved We have more inspiring discussions because of this

muziek therapie NHL Stenden HappyCare My mother is 93 and like most people her age, she is very vulnerable. Fortunately, her head is still doing well, but she has fallen regularly over the last few months. First because she was trying to pick something up, later because she was tired at the end of the day and recently because she could no longer stand on her legs. My mother has always been active and very independent. The rapid downward spiral was a difficult process for her and for us as children. After each fall, my mother had to give up more independence and our worries increased. She did not want to go to a nursing home and did everything she could to stay at home. And that also worked... Because there were 5 lovely women from Happy Zorg who put their heart and soul into ensuring that my mother could stay at home until it was really no longer possible. Natalie, the 'leader', had already taken care of my mother 5 years ago after her hip dislocated. Nathalie has always kept in touch with my mother. She didn't have to do that, but she did. And how valuable that was became apparent in recent months. It was wonderful how they helped my mother. Nothing was ever too much and everything was done with love. Partly thanks to the Happy ladies, my mother managed to stay at home. Unfortunately, my mother went to a nursing home a week and a half ago. It really didn't work anymore... Last week, as a thank you for all the care given to my mother, I received Natalie Drobe and her team gave a 'business drawing' workshop. I first taught them the basics of how to draw your story or message simply and functionally. They then made a drawing together about their team: What makes their team so special? They drew this drawing on paper, I made it digitally for them in one poster. A beautiful and valuable result. Happy Natalie, Happy Roos, Happy Indy, Happy Jet and Happy Eva…. You have been invaluable to my mother and us over the past period. I hope that politicians will look less at how you can organize healthcare as a business (where competition has proven to be cutthroat and lucrative companies make a lot of money) and focus (and invest) more on the people who do the real work!

cultuur hub Vrijdag kultuurloket Archibus Archibus is an information management system that regulates maintenance and management. I made a picture for the Haga Hospital to explain the complicated system to employees. Commissioned by the province of Groningen, I made this picture about what the cultural sector contributes to residents and visitors in the economic domain. Using the authenticity and focus on (spatial) development, Groningen is flourishing. There is new impetus and we are proud of the city and its surroundings. In terms of business climate, liveability and attractiveness, the city and region reinforce each other in a joint proposition: peace and bustle. Culture is a crucial element in this. Culture brings growth and prosperity to Groningen. One of the agendas of Nij Begun is the Social agenda . I made this plate on behalf of the province. 'Active meeting', 'Culture hub' and 'An art teacher in every primary school' are posters that I made for institutions that fall within the Social Agenda. Commissioned by the Cultural Desk, Groningen Villages and House for Sports, I made this drawing as part of Nij Begun: What is the shared dream in the field of culture, sports and social encounters? Commissioned by the Foundation for Art & Culture, I made this drawing as part of Nij Begun: An art teacher at every primary school in the province of Groningen and the three northern Drenthe municipalities. Commissioned by the Kultuurloket, I made this drawing as part of Nij Begun: Art & Culture: within reach and self-evident, meeting each other at one location, accessible everywhere.

patient information The General Practioner Research Institute (GPRI) conducts scientific research in primary care, at the general practitioner or pharmacy. For the participants of the study, the patients, it is nice that there is clear information about what is being asked of them. But GPs also appreciate this. The Copper study was a scientific study into how the general practitioner could best treat the COVID patient so that hospitalization was avoided. Above is the route of the investigation.

Patient journey Pain rehab Anneke Beetsma,PhD candidate at the Healthy Aging, Allied Health Care and Nursing Lectorate of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen and the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) would like to have the figure on the left visualized and explained in a more understandable drawing. It was a challenging puzzle. It mainly required a substantive understanding of the figure. But fortunately with the help of Anneke and her team we came up with a beautiful visualization. The figure represents the path of a successful rehabilitation process from the perspective of people with persistent pain. Pain rehabilitation is often developed top-down by clinicians and researchers. This project investigated the meaningful learning experiences of rehabilitation patients who have made significant improvements in dealing with persistent pain. The 7 themes developed provide a new conceptual understanding of how pain rehabilitation could promote recovery. The themes strongly support: Personalized care, Pain dialogue and personal growth, from the perspective of the recovering patient. The supported therapeutic relationship is considered a crucial factor for improvement.
